Antrim Art Club was formed in the early 1950s. Mr Maurice Collins, an accountant, was the first President and the committee was comprised of Dr E Coyle, local businessman Mr W Knox and principal teacher Mr B Reid. The first meeting was held in the Old Methodist Hall in Fountain Street and continued there for many years.
Since then, despite many changes in members, committee, tutors and location, one thing remains the same: the club's core ethos of being a friendly, vibrant club where art is for everyone.
